Terminal garages are convenient; off-airport lots and rides can cost less for long trips. Here's how to choose for your dates.

  • Short trip or pickup? The terminal short-term lots are simplest; the first 30 minutes are free (per the airport).
  • Multi-day trip? The South Terminal long-term lot is the official option for longer stays.
  • The official economy Park, Ride & Fly lot was listed as closed for construction when we checked.
  • For long trips, compare off-airport lots and a round-trip rideshare against official rates.

What to think about first

Your trip length

Past a few days, daily and weekly maximums matter more than hourly rates. Past ten days, a rideshare may beat any lot.

Walk or shuttle

Official lots are close to the terminals. Off-airport lots trade distance for price and run shuttles to the curb.

Winter return

Coming home in winter means a snow-covered car. Covered or valet options — or not parking at all — can be worth it.

Official airport lots

The airport runs short-term parking at both terminals and a long-term lot at the South Terminal. According to the airport, the first 30 minutes are free in its on-site lots — handy for quick drop-offs and pickups.

For trips longer than a couple of days, the South Terminal long-term lot is the official choice. The airport’s economy Park, Ride & Fly lot was listed as temporarily closed for construction when we checked in September 2026.

Off-airport parking

Private lots near the airport often charge less per day for extended trips and run complimentary shuttles to the terminal — some by on-demand app. Some also offer add-ons like car washes or oil changes while you’re away. Compare the total for your dates, shuttle frequency and hours, security and cancellation terms.

When not to park at all

For trips longer than about ten days, price a round-trip taxi or rideshare against parking. It’s often cheaper — and in winter you skip digging a snow-covered car out of the lot when you land.

The cell phone lot

Picking someone up? The airport has a free cell phone waiting lot off International Airport Road, so you don't need to circle or pay.

Parking an RV or oversized vehicle

If you're leaving an RV or oversized vehicle, check which lot the airport designates for it before you arrive.
